Towing Services

Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to provide towing services for its vehicle fleet across Benton and Franklin Counties. The contractor will be responsible for 24/7 towing, recovery, and roadside assistance for all BFT vehicles, including fixed-route buses, paratransit coaches, Rideshare vehicles, and service vehicles. The contractor must guarantee that drivers and operators can clearly speak and read English, have no criminal convictions, and possess a valid operator's license. The contractor will be required to provide equipment and personnel to safely tow all BFT vehicles, regardless of size, shape, weight, or mechanical condition. Key responsibilities include: * Providing 24-hour per day, seven days a week service for towing buses, vans, and auto service, regardless of weather conditions * Dispatching an appropriate tow truck as soon as reasonably possible for vehicles that are stranded with passengers and all accidents * Unlocking vehicles without damage to internal parts * Supplying equipment and being willing to clean up and remove glass and vehicle parts from the roadway at accident scenes * Towing alternative fueled vehicles, including fully electric and hybrid vehicles * Arriving at BFT to obtain a replacement vehicle and delivering to any area in the service range
