NIST CUP-BOILER REPAIR & WELDING SERVICES

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a contractor to provide ASME "R" stamp qualified boiler repair and welding services for high-pressure steam piping and boiler repair, as well as mobile welding operations on a 24/7/365 callback basis. The contractor will be responsible for performing repairs within the Gaithersburg NIST CUP on steam and power generating boilers and associated piping and components per applicable ASME and code requirements. The contractor must have at least 10 years of experience repairing high-pressure boilers and must maintain ASME welding certification and NBBI "R" certification throughout the life of the contract. Some key points of the project include: • The contractor will have a 24/7/365 on-call system and must respond to emergency calls within 8 hours of notification. • The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the work. • The contractor must have personnel trained in confined space entry and must provide all necessary safety equipment. • The contractor must comply with all applicable safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and ASME. • The contractor must provide a safety plan and must have it approved by the Contracting Officer before starting work.
