Head Start Birth to Five Program Classroom Behavior and Educational Coach Services

The City of Phoenix is seeking a consultant to provide Head Start Birth to Five program classroom behavior and educational coach services. The consultant will work with teachers and staff to provide coaching and support to children with behavioral difficulties, and will help develop strategies to de-escalate disruptive behaviors and teach new skills. The consultant will also provide progress reports and participate in staffing meetings. The contract term is for five years, commencing on or about July 1, 2026. Key responsibilities include: • Providing in-person classroom support with children exhibiting challenging behaviors • Developing and implementing age-appropriate interventions • Providing coaching and modeling of strategies to teaching staff • Participating in staffing meetings and providing progress reports • Communicating regularly with the Mental Health Supervisor and other relevant staff.
