Description
The California Military Department is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the Building Management System (BMS) controls at the Bakersfield Gateway Armory. The scope is limited to the control‑system hardware and associated low‑voltage work; all mechanical HVAC equipment remains in place. The prime contractor must hold a C‑20 (Warm‑Air Heating, Ventilating & Air‑Conditioning) license and be capable of re‑using existing conduit, wiring, and enclosures after inspection. A mandatory pre‑bid site walk is required, and bids are due electronically by mid‑May.
• Replace HVAC control hardware (thermostats, CO₂ sensors, actuators) for 20 zones (4 zones with CO₂‑enabled thermostats, 16 zones temperature‑only).
• Provide new BMS/EMS integration (Metasys or approved equal) and ensure compatibility with Belimo actuators (preferred).
• Re‑use existing enclosures, conduit, and raceways where they pass inspection; replace only defective components.
• No mechanical repairs, pipe repairs, or shop‑exhaust fan work; panels may remain at current elevated locations.
• Contractor must be a C‑20 licensed HVAC contractor and submit a single PDF bid by 2 PM on 14 May 2026.
