Request for Information (RFI): STATEWIDE: Emergency Food Catering Services

The Department of General Services is seeking information from vendors for emergency food and catering services to provide meals to disaster survivors, incident workforce personnel, emergency management staff, and other public safety personnel. The services will be required in existing fixed facilities, such as emergency shelters, emergency operations centers, and public safety facilities, as well as in temporary facilities and field sites. Vendors must be able to provide meals for 12-hour or 24-hour operational schedules, with options for vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, and other dietary restrictions. The contract is anticipated to be for multiple years with potential renewal options. Some key points to consider include: • The ability to provide meals for 50-250 people per facility location every 12 hours • The ability to serve multiple locations simultaneously • The need to provide nutritionally balanced meals, including food and beverages • The requirement for vendors to understand that normal food suppliers and fuel providers may be closed or inoperable during a disaster, and to prepare accordingly • The option for boxed meals or sack lunches for personnel deploying to the field • The need for bi-weekly menus to be submitted for approval, with daily menus posted at the dining area
