Expand Emergency Power to HVAC Systems

The VA is seeking qualified contractors to expand emergency power capacity for HVAC systems at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix. This effort will ensure critical climate control continues during power outages, enhancing patient safety and compliance with federal emergency standards. • Perform an engineering assessment of existing emergency power and HVAC infrastructure. • Design and install additional backup generators, UPS units, and related electrical upgrades. • Conduct integration, testing, and certification to meet VA and DOE requirements. • Provide documentation, training, and maintenance manuals for ongoing operations.
