The Division of Local Government, Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) is seeking a loan servicing consultant to service loans for the Housing Recovery Program (HRP). The program provides traditional 30-year loans and forgivable 3-year loans to households affected by disasters. The consultant will be responsible for processing monthly payments, responding to borrower issues, and performing residency verification for forgivable loans. The contract is expected to start in October 2026 and will last for 5 years. Key aspects of the job include: • Servicing over 180 traditional loans and over 220 forgivable loans • Processing monthly payments and responding to borrower issues • Performing residency verification for forgivable loans • Handling holdback payments and duplication of benefits checks • Providing customer service to borrowers who have gone through traumatic events • Using software to service loans, with The Mortgage Office being the current system used
