IFB for Specialty Gases & Liquids

Buffalo State University is hearby giving notice that it is requesting proposals for Specialty Gases & Liquids. The University’s goals include, but are not limited to: Provide and improve the overall quality and consistency of products and services. All gases and specialty items shall meet or exceed the purity grades specified. All specialty gases require certification of mixture, where applicable. All products provided shall be new, unused and available Cylinders shall be manufactured, maintained, and tested in accordance with the Code of Federal regulation. Cylinders shall be new or extra clean, in good condition and not pitted. Valve assemblies must be protected by a suitable valve cap. Each cylinder shall be legibly marked by means of stenciling, stamping or labelling, to identify the contents by the chemical name or formula Each cylinder shall be stamped with a legible serial number. All serial numbers shall be recorded on the documents being delivered Cylinders are to follow U.S. Department of Transportation labeling requirements Ensure adequate portions for the University from a supplier against our estimated needs each year, to guard against market shortages. Streamline the University’s administrative procedures, thereby reducing administrative and acquisition costs. It is expected that the awarded bidder may be required to set up consolidated billing processes and other possible billing processes through the length of the contact. Implementation of a pricing model with all fees built in (no additional charges for rental, demurrage, etc.) New or additional related products may be added to this contract at the discretion of the University, at discounts commensurate with similar items.
