Furnish and Delivery of One (1) or more 25-Passenger Accessible Gas Transit Buses

The County of Maui is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of one or more 25-passenger accessible gas transit buses. The buses must meet specific requirements, including being ADA compliant, having a 238" maximum wheelbase, and a 19,500 lbs. maximum GVWR chassis. The buses will be used for the Department of Transportation, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The bid prices must include all taxes, permits, delivery costs, and other applicable costs/fees. Some key features of the buses include: * 25-passenger capacity, with 2 wheelchair positions and seating for 25 ambulatory passengers * 2026 or most recent production year Ford F-550 cutaway (or approved equal) * V-8 Gas engine, 7.3L, 350 HP * Automatic 10-speed transmission with overdrive and auxiliary cooler * Seven (7) LT225/70SR 19.5” Radial Tires * Electrically operated double panel passenger entry door * Passenger windows shall be full fixed frameless windows with a 30% tint * The bus shall be equipped with sufficient fresh air intake to provide adequate ventilation, even with the windows closed * Two (2) emergency escape hatches, one forward and one aft * Destination signs with a silver/white color digital matrix, pre-programmed with Maui bus destinations * Public address system accessible from the driver's seat * Mobileye 8 Connect (or approved equal) to be installed and calibrated * Stop Request System with signage, chime, and a lighted stop request sign * HVAC system with OEM air conditioning and an independent rear unit * Seating for the driver and passengers, including 17 forward-facing passenger seats and a driver's high back seat
