Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking information from potential contractors to provide mortuary services at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) in Springfield, Missouri. The services will include removal of the body, local transportation, embalming and body preparation, clothing, casket, and professional mortuary services for federal inmates who have passed away during their time of incarceration. The contractor must observe and comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations relating to transportation, embalming, preparation, burial, cremation, and shipment of bodies.
* The contract will be for a base year and four option years, with a possible six-month extension.
* The contractor must be able to provide firm fixed unit pricing for the services.
* The contractor must be licensed and certified to provide mortuary services in the state of Missouri.
* The contractor must be able to provide all necessary supplies and equipment.
* The contractor must be able to provide services on an as-needed basis, with exact days and times not determined in advance.
