Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with DataWorks Development, Inc. for the renewal of the annual Customer Care Program for the NIST Charleston Biorepository's perpetual license of Freezerworks Summit Ed. sample management software. The program includes maintenance releases, software upgrades, and unlimited technical support.
• The contract will be for a 12-month period with four 12-month option periods.
• The software is used for managing over 100,000 biological and environmental samples at the NIST Charleston Biorepository.
• DataWorks Development, Inc. is the exclusive owner and provider of Freezerworks laboratory database products.
• Maintenance services for Freezerworks products must be obtained directly from the OEM.
