Description
The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a vendor to provide statewide roof maintenance, repair, and replacement services for its correctional institutions. The vendor will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing roofs at various locations throughout the state. The contract will be for a period of up to three years, with the option for renewal. The vendor must have an active Certified General Contractor license in the State of Florida or be a Certified Technician. The key responsibilities of the vendor will include:
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing roofs at various correctional institutions
• Providing warranty for materials and workmanship for a period of at least two years
• Ensuring that all work is completed within 90 days of purchase order issuance
• Cooperating with the Department's Contract Manager to monitor progress and contract performance
• Providing invoices and supporting documentation as required
The following are some of the key requirements and specifications for the vendor:
• Must have an active Certified General Contractor license in the State of Florida or be a Certified Technician
• Must provide a bid guarantee of not less than 5% of the bid amount
• Must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond if the contract price exceeds $100,000
• Must comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including those related to employment, labor, and environmental protection
