Description
The City of Stone Mountain is seeking a Development Advisor to assist in the implementation of The Lawn on Main project, a planned civic park and mixed-use destination in the historic downtown district. The selected advisor will guide the City through the next phase of implementation, including packaging the project opportunity, conducting outreach to the development community, preparing a developer solicitation, and assisting the City in evaluating proposals and negotiating development agreements. The project includes an amphitheater, splash pad, green space, restroom facility, and hotel development. The City is looking for a consultant with experience in urban park development, tourism-oriented development, public-private partnerships, and downtown revitalization.
Key aspects of the project include:
• The project site consists of approximately 3.47 acres in downtown Stone Mountain.
• The City is focused on expanding tourism opportunities and strengthening its downtown economy.
• The Development Advisor will provide professional advisory services, including project strategy and development packaging, preparation of developer solicitation, market outreach, and proposal evaluation.
• The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and select the proposal that is in the best interest of the City.
