Description
The Byram Hills Central School District is seeking a qualified electrical contractor to provide on‑call time‑and‑material services for routine maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and parts replacement across six district facilities. The contractor will be paid on an hourly prevailing‑wage basis plus a markup for materials, and must meet stringent insurance, licensing, and experience requirements. The agreement runs for one year with possible two one‑year extensions.
• Perform emergency (≤2 hr response) and non‑emergency electrical work including panels, feeders, lighting, fire‑alarm systems, generators, and data cabling.
• Supply all new, OEM‑type parts, obtain permits, coordinate with utilities, and provide warranties and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with NY Labor Law prevailing‑wage schedules, submit certified payroll, and hold the District harmless with extensive insurance coverage.
• Submit bids by May 4 2026; award expected around June 2 2026; contract effective July 1 2026 – June 30 2027.
