Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking a contractor to provide commercial snow removal equipment and installation services for their facility in Alderson, West Virginia. The contractor will be required to provide snowplow equipment that meets or exceeds the specified characteristics, including a complete snowplow and vehicle-specific equipment for full operation. The contractor will also be responsible for installing the equipment on government-owned vehicles. The solicitation includes four items: acquisition of snow plow equipment for two different trucks, acquisition of a salt spreader system, and labor for complete installation of both snowplow assemblies and salt spreader system.
• The snowplow equipment must meet the specified characteristics, including a heavy-duty corrosion-resistant poly moldboard construction and a V-Plow configuration with a High Performance 1/2" x 6" cutting edge.
• The contractor must provide a specification sheet and any submittal information about the product(s) offered in their quote.
• The contractor must include a manufacturer's standard warranty with the equipment.
• The contractor will be evaluated based on price, technical acceptability, warranty, past performance, and adherence to delivery timeline.
