Town Wide Irrigation Services

The Town of Nantucket is seeking a contractor to provide town-wide irrigation services, including spring start-up, mid-season head adjustments, fall winterization, and on-call support for urgent issues. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to perform seasonal irrigation system services at various town-owned properties. The contract will be for a period of three years, from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2029. The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience in providing similar services and must carry a Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) credential. Some key aspects of the job include: • Spring start-up and winterization of irrigation systems • Mid-season adjustments and full system checks • On-call service for urgent issues, with a 24/7 availability and a 48-hour response time • Pricing must include fixed first-hour service rate, hourly rate beyond the first hour, and parts billed at cost plus a fixed markup • The contractor must provide proof of insurance, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability insurance • The contractor must comply with all applicable state and federal laws, including prevailing wage and OSHA requirements
