Description
The Department of the Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide a composite walk-in freezer, including installation, startup, and performance verification. The freezer must meet specific requirements, including a Class 1 Div 2 rating, a minimum interior work area dimension of 8' x 6' x 6.5', and a maximum exterior dimension of 10' x 8'. The freezer must also have a monitor alarm for open door and over or under temperature, pre-installed PVC strip curtains, and an audio-visual high temperature alarm system. The contractor must provide delivery, offloading, installation, training, and performance verification.
Some key features of the required freezer include:
• A minimum interior work area dimension of 8' x 6' x 6.5'
• A maximum exterior dimension of 10' x 8'
• A Class 1 Div 2 rating
• A monitor alarm for open door and over or under temperature
• Pre-installed PVC strip curtains
• An audio-visual high temperature alarm system
• A bypass or other type of device on the interior side door to permit escape from inside even when the door is locked/latched
• LED lighting and anti-sweat accessories powered internally in the freezer
• A steel ramp the same width as the freezer door
• A solid-state digital controller capable of either Fahrenheit or Celsius
• An allowable temperature variance of at most ±5°F throughout the freezer
