The Port Authority of Allegheny County (doing business as Pittsburgh Regional Transit) seeks a qualified vendor to supply, deliver, rent, and manage a full suite of industrial‑grade welding and cutting gases for a three‑year period. The contractor must provide DOT‑approved cylinders of various sizes, maintain an on‑site inventory of roughly 345 cylinders, and ensure rapid (≤ 3‑day) deliveries to nine Pittsburgh‑area facilities. The contract includes quarterly reporting, safety data‑sheet provision, and strict invoicing requirements, with the agency exempt from sales and excise taxes. Key responsibilities also cover removal of empty cylinders, reimbursement for lost/damaged cylinders, and a post‑contract 60‑day extension at the same rental rates.
