Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified HVAC contractor to replace the existing heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning system at the CHP San Bernardino Area Office. The work includes removal of the current unit, disposal of hazardous refrigerants, installation of a new energy‑efficient HVAC system, ductwork inspection and repair, testing, commissioning, and provision of warranties and documentation. The contract is a lump‑sum award for a 12‑month period, with a mandatory site walk‑through and strict compliance with licensing, insurance, and DVBE participation requirements.
• Remove and properly dispose of the existing HVAC unit and associated ductwork, electrical, and refrigerant.
• Supply and install a new HVAC system meeting or exceeding Title 24 energy standards, including all controls, wiring, and supports.
• Perform testing, balancing, commissioning, and deliver operation manuals, warranties (1‑yr workmanship, 2‑yr materials, 5‑yr unit).
• Complete the project within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed, providing temporary heating/cooling for occupants.
• Meet mandatory qualifications: C‑20 contractor license, DIR registration, DVBE 5 % participation, insurance, and warranty guarantees.
