RFP Marketing and/or Advertising Company

The City of Syracuse Police Department is seeking a marketing and advertising agency to support its recruitment initiatives. The selected agency will develop and execute creative strategies to enhance the Department's visibility and support recruiting efforts for sworn staff. The scope of work includes brand and strategy development, recruitment campaigns, creative development, media planning and placement, and social media and digital support. The contract will be for a period of one year, with two optional one-year renewals. Proposers are expected to have prior experience working with government, public safety, or similar organizations. Key aspects of the job include: • Developing and refining messaging that reflects the Department's mission, vision, and values • Creating targeted campaigns to attract qualified, diverse candidates for sworn positions • Utilizing digital, social media, radio, and print platforms to reach diverse audiences • Providing guidance on social media strategies and supporting content creation and engagement tracking • Developing and managing paid advertising strategies and negotiating media buys • Ensuring brand consistency across platforms and materials
