Description
The Maryland Transit Administration is seeking a Transit Vehicle Manufacturer (TVM) Contractor to provide a complete overhaul/remanufacture of each locomotive to “like new” condition. The scope of work includes the overhaul of 26 MP36PH-3C diesel locomotives and 2 GP40 diesel locomotives. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the work. The contract will be for a period of 7 years, and the contractor will be required to provide a firm fixed price for the work.
• The contractor must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in successfully performing locomotive overhauls similar in scope to this RFP.
• The contractor must provide three references establishing that these services have been provided within the past 10 years.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and labor standards.
• The contractor must provide a detailed proposal outlining their approach to the work, including their experience, qualifications, and pricing.
• The contractor must participate in a pre-proposal conference and site visit, and must submit questions and proposals by the specified deadlines.
