Description
The Department of State Hospitals - Metropolitan is seeking bids for a contractor to provide Specialty Physician Services - Clinical Laboratory Director. The contractor will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of the Clinical Laboratory and fulfilling the role of Laboratory Director. The contract term is anticipated to be June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2029. The contractor must provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certifications, permits, insurance, and personnel to provide the required services.
• The contractor must have a minimum of 1 year of laboratory training during medical residency and 2 years of experience directing or supervising high complexity testing.
• The contractor must hold a doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution and be certified by a board approved by HHS.
• The contractor must provide proof of medical license, board certification, CPR certification, and DEA registration.
• The contractor must have a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for bodily injury and property damage liability combined.
• The contractor must name the State of California, its officers, employees, and agents as additional insured parties.
