General Investment Consultant

The Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) is seeking a general investment consultant to assist in the evolution and monitoring of its total portfolio. The consultant will act as a fiduciary to SCERS and work closely with SCERS’ staff, board, and alternative assets and real estate investment consultants. The scope of services includes investment policy and asset allocation, risk management, public equity and credit investment manager search and due diligence, performance monitoring and reporting, compliance monitoring and reporting, and meeting, training, and client service. The consultant will also be required to provide quarterly reports, attend board meetings, and provide educational workshops to the board and staff. Some key points to consider: * The consultant will be required to act as a fiduciary to SCERS and work closely with SCERS’ staff, board, and alternative assets and real estate investment consultants. * The scope of services includes investment policy and asset allocation, risk management, public equity and credit investment manager search and due diligence, performance monitoring and reporting, compliance monitoring and reporting, and meeting, training, and client service. * The consultant will be required to provide quarterly reports, attend board meetings, and provide educational workshops to the board and staff. * The consultant will be expected to have experience working with public pension plans and a strong understanding of investment consulting services. * The consultant will be required to provide a non-discretionary, full retainer fee proposal for the services described in the scope of services.
