SNOW AND ICE EQUIPMENT

The County of Portage Wisconsin is seeking bids to establish a contract for the purchase of snow and ice equipment to be installed on two County-owned 2023 Western Star model 47 X patrol trucks. The equipment must meet specific technical specifications, including the provision of dump bodies with hydraulics, tailgate sanders, underbody scrapers, and side plates. The contractor must also provide and install pre-wet systems and hardware, rear fenders, pintle hitch, and rear air foils. The contract will have an approximate start date of 09/01/2026 and will run through 12/31/2026, with five one-year renewal options. • The contractor must be an original manufacturer, or distributor and/or dealer/company authorized by the manufacturer. • The contractor must supply references of three firms to which similar products and services have been provided during the past five years. • The contractor must be in the business of snow and ice equipment for the past five years. • The contractor must provide a breakdown of material and labor costs for each section of work. • The contractor must provide all necessary documentation, including product literature, warranty information, and required forms.
