Towing & Recovery Franchise Services

The City of Keller, Texas is soliciting sealed proposals for a Towing and Recovery Franchise. The successful Contractor shall provide vehicle towing, recovery, storage, and related services at the request of the Keller Police Department. The franchise covers police-requested towing, recovery, storage, release support, and related services for vehicles required by the City to be removed from a stationary location, public street, accident scene, arrest, abandonment, search and seizure event, mechanical difficulty, or other lawful police-directed removal. • The Contractor must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and rules. • The Contractor must have the required licenses, permits, and insurance. • The Contractor must have the necessary equipment and storage facility. • The Contractor must provide 24-hour, 365-day service for towing and storage. • The Contractor must maintain a reliable dispatch process and a single dispatch telephone number for Keller Police Department requests. • The Contractor must meet an average 20-minute response time under normal weather and non-catastrophe conditions. • The Contractor must protect evidence, contraband, personal property, and police holds as directed by the Keller Police Department and applicable law.
