TOS No. 25-008 - Rosecrans Child Care Center

The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering (BOE), Architectural Division is seeking a consultant to provide expedited professional design and construction administration services for a new 4,000 square foot Childcare Center and site improvements at Rosecrans Park Child Care Center. The scope of services includes the design and construction of a new child care facility with associated site improvements to provide adequate utilities, safe and accessible paths of travel, and compliance with any environmental regulations. The project requires an expedited delivery, with the award of a construction contract by May 2027. The consultant shall prioritize a fast-track work approach, with adequate staffing and work sequencing. Key responsibilities include providing professional design and construction administration services, coordinating with the BOE and other agencies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. • The project involves the design and construction of a new child care facility with a gross building area of approximately 4,000 square feet and a secure outdoor play area of 1,500 square feet. • The facility shall be designed to meet all applicable State of California child care licensing requirements and shall be developed in coordination with the BOE and the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP). • The project requires an expedited delivery, with the award of a construction contract by May 2027. • The consultant shall prioritize a fast-track work approach, with adequate staffing and work sequencing. • The project involves community outreach activities, including the establishment of a Local Volunteer Neighborhood Oversight Committee (LVNOC). • The consultant shall be responsible for preparing presentation materials, attending meetings, and providing technical support as directed by the BOE.
