Description
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide On-Call Roadway Design Review Services. The selected consultant will perform roadway design reviews, including reviewing construction plans, special provisions, environmental documents, and technical reports for conformity to applicable design standards and guidelines. The consultant will also provide meaningful marked-up plans and typed comments, and respond to questions regarding comments provided. The contract term is expected to be up to 5 years, with a minimum dollar amount of $25,000 and a maximum dollar amount of $5,000,000.
• The consultant will review plans for consistency with approved concept reports and technical documents.
• The consultant will review horizontal and vertical curves and superelevation rates for conformity to applicable design criteria.
• The consultant will review typical sections for compliance with approved pavement designs.
• The consultant will review at-grade intersections for conformity to applicable design guidelines.
• The consultant will review cross sections for consistency with typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, construction limits, and specific roadway design features.
