CT Scan Technologist and/or X-Ray Technologist for Quentin N Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt, ND

The Indian Health Service is seeking a qualified CT Scan Technologist and/or X-Ray Technologist to provide services at the Quentin N Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt, ND. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing CT studies, operating diagnostic equipment, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have advanced-level certification by ARRT or NMTCB in CT or have one of the following qualifications: state licensure that permits them to perform diagnostic CT, registration and certification in Radiography by ARRT, or certification in Nuclear Medicine technology by ARRT or NMTCB. • Perform a variety of computerized tomography examinations according to physician instructions • Receive and review requests from physicians and other health care providers for examinations of patients • Schedule patients for examinations • Determine the condition(s) at issue and the procedures and equipment necessary to best meet the needs of the individual case • Evaluate the nature of critical and emergency procedures and rearrange patient priorities to accommodate them • Confers with radiologists and/or higher graded tech to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations or for cases outside of incumbent’s expertise
