The Leading by Example Clean Energy Grants for State Entities – Fleet EVSE Deployment 3.0 program provides funding to eligible state entities for the deployment of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) at state-owned facilities. The program aims to support the electrification of the Commonwealth fleet by providing funding for EVSE equipment, installation, and related services. Eligible state entities can apply for grants to support the cost-effective acquisition and installation of EVSE, as well as pre-wiring for additional EV-ready and EV-capable parking spaces. The program also supports mobile charging and domicile EV charging.
• The program provides funding for networked and non-networked Level 1 or Level 2 AC EVSE, portable or plug-in EVSE, Level 1 charging ports, and Level 2 charging ports.
• Eligible state entities must commit to ordering one or more battery electric vehicles for purchase or lease within eighteen months of a signed agreement with DOER.
• The program requires applicants to solicit at least three project proposals from vendors to select the most cost-effective solution.
• Grant applications will be evaluated based on criteria such as minimum requirements, site suitability, cost-effectiveness, and overlap with other programs.
