MDVA_MVH-Silver Bay Chaplain Services RFP

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or organizations to provide Chaplaincy Services for the Minnesota Veterans Home – Silver Bay. The goal of this solicitation is to establish a contract with a qualified provider who can deliver consistent, resident-centered chaplaincy services to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the Home’s residents and their spouses. The selected contractor will be required to provide chaplain services, special religious services, on-call service, and other related tasks. The contract term is anticipated to be from January 2026 to February 2027, with the option to extend up to an additional three years. • Provide chaplain services to residents upon request • Provide special religious services as requested • Provide on-call service for sick and terminally ill residents • Visit hospitalized residents as requested by the Home • Plan, direct, and provide guidance on the religious and spiritual needs of all residents • Participate in establishing resident care standards • Coordinate provision of services with the Recreation Director or designee • Provide monthly written reports of services performed • Possess a denominational endorsement, or equivalent credential, qualifying the individual to serve as a chaplain in an institutional setting
