Description
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is seeking to award a sole source purchase order to FEI Company (FEI) for a service agreement for one Apreo S LoVac Field Emission - Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM). The service agreement will provide rapid response to keep the system operational, perform preventative maintenance service, and provide certified replacement non-consumable parts, software updates, and notifications. The agreement will be for a period of 12 months.
• The NTSB is an independent Federal agency responsible for investigating civil aviation accidents and significant accidents in other modes of transportation.
• The service agreement is required to maintain the electron microscope and keep it operational.
• The agreement will be awarded to FEI Company, the manufacturer of the FE-SEM, due to their unique technical qualifications and ability to provide support for the instrument.
• Other companies are invited to submit capability statements to demonstrate their ability to provide the required services.
