Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide medical gases and cylinder rental services to the VA Atlanta Healthcare System. The contractor must have at least 2 years of experience in supplying medical gases and cylinder rentals to healthcare facilities. The contractor will be evaluated based on technical acceptability and price. The technical acceptability criteria include supplier qualification, cylinder maintenance and safety, and service and support. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract with a base period and 2 one-year option periods.
• The contractor must provide documentation of at least 2 years of related experience in supplying medical gases and cylinder rentals to healthcare facilities.
• The contractor must outline procedures for regular inspection, maintenance, and testing of cylinders and provide evidence of compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• The contractor must detail customer support services, including availability and responsiveness.
• The contractor must provide information on technical support and training offered to on-site staff and describe emergency response services available.
