Replacement Condenser Tubes

The City of Garland is seeking bids for the replacement of condenser tubes for the Garland Power & Light's Ray Olinger Station, Unit #1. The tubes must be made of austenitic stainless steel 304L and meet specific technical and quality requirements. The supplier must have experience in producing similar tubes and provide documentation of their experience. The bid must include all costs, including shipping and packaging, and must not be contingent upon a foreign exchange rate. • The tubes must be 28 feet and 3.25 inches long, with a permissible tolerance of plus ¼ inch and minus zero. • The tubes must have an outside diameter of 1.0 inch and a wall thickness of 0.028 inches. • The tubes must be cleaned and annealed to remove oxide and scale, and must be free of chloride contamination. • The supplier must provide mill certification that the tubes meet the specified requirements. • The supplier must provide a list of condenser projects of similar linear feet of ¾”, 7/8”, or 1” OD tubing that have been completed in the past ten years.
