New Jersey Transit is seeking qualified general contractors to design, fabricate, deliver, and install up to 106 solar‑powered bus shelters throughout the state. The work is divided into a Phase 1 pilot (six shelters) and a Phase 2 production rollout (approximately 100 additional shelters). The contract will be awarded on a competitive sealed‑bid basis, with a 10 % bid bond and extensive insurance and reporting obligations.
• Fabricate and install solar‑powered bus shelters (7‑ft, 10‑ft, and 14‑ft configurations) with PV panels, LED lighting, USB charging, and optional mesh panels, windscreens, and rear‑entrance kits.
• Provide site work (demolition, excavation, concrete pads, curbs, bollards, and landscape restoration) and comply with NJDOT, IBC, ACI, and accessibility standards.
• Submit required DBE, IFR‑2025, and subcontractor documentation; report monthly payments via CMS; and adhere to prompt‑payment and retainage timelines.
