Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ)-Design-Build Santa Ana Canyon Road Water Main Extension

The City of Anaheim is seeking design-build entities to design and construct a new 20-inch water main to connect the existing water distribution system to a proposed private development in the north-eastern portion of the city. The project includes approximately 8,000 linear feet of potable water ductile iron pipe or cement mortar coated and lined steel pipe, and may include gate valves, hydrants, domestic and fire connections, air/vacuum valves, blowoffs, tees, tie-ins, and abandonments. The design-build entity will be responsible for performing visual investigation of the project alignment, providing oversight during construction, and complying with prevailing wage rates and community workforce agreements. • The project is expected to be completed by August 2028. • The estimated design and construction cost is approximately $8,000,000 to $9,000,000. • The city reserves the right to cancel this RFSQ or the subsequent RFP in whole or in part. • Respondents are encouraged to limit their responses to a reasonable length and avoid including extraneous content. • The evaluation committee will review the statements of qualifications based on specific weighted evaluation criteria and will rank respondents. • The city will provide written responses to any questions submitted in writing and will issue addenda to all respondents if necessary.
