Custodial Services

The Saranac Community Schools is seeking a vendor to provide employment and comprehensive personnel management services for licensed and trained custodians. The vendor will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing custodians, as well as providing benefits and insurance coverage. The contract is expected to commence during the 2026-2027 school year and will expire on June 30, 2027, unless renewed or terminated. The vendor will be required to provide a monthly invoice and ensure that all employees undergo a fingerprinting records check. The school district will provide information on hours worked, staff assignment, and other necessary details. Some key responsibilities of the vendor include: • Recruiting, pre-employment screening, hiring, qualifying, certifying, disciplining, and terminating custodians • Obtaining and maintaining employment benefits and insurance coverage • Operating a viable payroll system • Conducting payroll and benefit reporting requirements • Establishing and maintaining fringe benefit options for employees • Ensuring that custodians conduct their schedules and work in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner • Providing beginner and advanced employee training • Ensuring that every participating employee undergoes a fingerprinting records check • Requiring that any arrest/arraignment of a participating custodian is reported to the vendor immediately • Providing Saranac Community Schools with a preferred monthly invoice • Ensuring that no portion of the contracted services are subcontracted without the prior written consent of Saranac Community Schools
