Description
The Knox County Procurement Division is seeking bids for the construction of a pedestrian bridge over SR-131 (Tazewell Pike) and associated sidewalk connections. The project requires a prime contractor to prequalify with the Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 54-5-117 of the “Tennessee Code Annotated” and Tennessee Department of Transportation Rule 1680-5-3.
• The bid documents and information, and plans, may be obtained at the office of Gresham Smith, 2095 Lakeside Centre Way, Suite 210, Knoxville, TN 37922, for a non-refundable fee of $0.00.
• A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted at 10:00 AM EDT, June 2, 2026, at the Knox County Procurement Office.
• Questions regarding this bid request shall be directed, in writing, to Brian Hubbs, Construction and Contract Specialist, no later than June 4, 2026, at 4:30 PM EDT.
