Virtual Medical Scribe Services for Ophthalmology

The University of Iowa seeks a qualified supplier to provide United States‑based virtual medical scribe services exclusively for its Department of Ophthalmology. Scribes will work remotely during normal clinic hours (8 AM‑5 PM CST), access the Epic EHR, enter and finalize documentation within five minutes of each patient encounter, and support a full suite of Epic modules (Imaging, Orders, Charge Capture, Diagnoses, etc.). The engagement requires HIPAA compliance, execution of a Business Associate Agreement, and use of the Kaleidoscope platform. The contract is initially for one year with the possibility of up to four one‑year extensions. Suppliers must submit detailed qualifications, audited financial statements, and references, and may be asked to present orally.
