Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) seeks a qualified California‑certified small business to provide comprehensive monitoring, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance for both fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems at the CAL FIRE Training Center (Ione Unit). The contractor will be responsible for routine annual and quarterly inspections, system testing, battery replacements, certification, and one‑time damper inspections, as well as emergency repair support. Services must comply with California Fire Code, NFPA standards, and all applicable state and local regulations, and the contract will run for a three‑year term.
• Perform annual, quarterly, and five‑year inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, including certification and reporting.
• Replace fire alarm batteries, test e‑lights, exit signs, pressure‑reducing valves, and fire‑smoke dampers as specified.
• Provide emergency repair services with a built‑in 10 % contingency for scheduled and emergency work; maintain required insurance, bonding, and prevailing‑wage compliance.
