Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Western Massachusetts Medical Center seeks a verified SDVOSB to replace Building 4’s chiller on the Edward P. Boland Campus (Leeds, MA). The contractor must provide a turn‑key, in‑kind replacement of the existing Carrier chiller, including all mechanical, electrical, and controls work, refrigerant recovery, disposal, and factory‑authorized startup/commissioning. The work must be coordinated with the VA COR, adhere to all VHA, OSHA, EPA, and Massachusetts DEP regulations, and be completed within a six‑month period of performance from Notice‑to‑Proceed. No temporary cooling is required; the existing equipment pad will be reused, and all removed piping must be replaced with new insulated piping. The contract is a total SDVOSB set‑aside with a firm‑fixed‑price award.
• Scope: Remove existing Carrier chiller, install equivalent Carrier unit, replace all removed piping, valves, fittings, and insulation; perform electrical connections (reuse existing service); integrate with existing SNE Building Automation System.
