Description
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority is seeking an insurance consultant to provide consulting services related to the Authority's lending programs and activities. The selected contractor will provide periodic and ongoing technical information, assistance, and trainings to Authority staff on development of Authority's insurance guidelines and insurance requirement parameters. The consultant will also advise and educate Authority representatives on market changes, new insurance coverages, and industry trends. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing technical information and assistance to Authority staff
• Advising and educating Authority representatives on market changes and industry trends
• Reviewing insurance certificates, policies, and related questions
• Providing guidance and technical information on reviewing insurance certificates and policies
The ideal candidate will have experience providing consulting services and technical information relating to multifamily developments, as well as experience providing insurance training. The Authority anticipates awarding a one-year contract with three optional annual renewals.
