CRAC Vault 9 Main Treasury

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking a qualified contractor to replace and install CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) units in Vault 9 of the Main Treasury building and to remove, modify, and install two new 44‑inch security doors. The work must be performed under strict security protocols, with all personnel U.S. citizens and escorted by government security. Key technical requirements include: • Full installation, start‑up, balancing, and BAS integration of the new CRAC unit before the existing unit is shut down. • A 36‑hour continuous window to remove the existing door, move the old CRAC unit, install the new unit (pre‑hook‑up acceptable), and reinstall the door. • Construction of a wall extension from the underside of the raised floor to the structural slab, as assumed in the fixed‑price proposal. • No work will be performed by Treasury Physical Security; the contractor assumes all responsibilities for access‑control hardware, power, wiring, and testing. • All work must comply with security escort requirements; the government provides escorts, and there is no limit on the number of escorted workers. • The solicitation requires submission of up to three recent corporate experience projects (subcontractor experience not allowed).
