EMS & EMT Distance Learning

The Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking responses from qualified businesses to provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) distance learning/training. The contractor will be responsible for providing a culturally appropriate web-based interactive distance learning management system, validating student skills competencies, and providing courses that meet national certification and recertification requirements. The training will be provided to IHS, Tribal, and urban programs, and the contractor will be required to ensure that instructors communicate in a culturally appropriate and respectful manner. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining a participant database, providing technical assistance, and responding to inquiries from IHS, Tribal, and urban programs regarding EMS training. Some key points to consider: * The contractor will be required to provide training to up to 250 EMTs and paramedics annually. * The training will be provided through a secure web-based interactive distance learning management system. * The contractor will be required to ensure that instructors meet all state and national certification requirements to teach specialized courses. * The contractor will be responsible for maintaining a participant database and providing technical assistance. * The contract will have a period of performance of 12 months, with two 12-month option periods.
