Prequalification for Pump and Haul Emergency Services

The City of Norfolk is seeking prequalifications from vendors for pump and haul emergency services. The selected vendors will be eligible to submit bids for the forthcoming Invitation for Bid (IFB). The scope of work includes dewatering wastewater wet wells and boxes, transporting wastewater to an approved pump station, and properly disposing of the wastewater. The estimated level of service is approximately three work orders per month with a volume of 1,000 to 5,000 gallons per work order. The work is on an as-needed basis, and the City does not guarantee any minimum orders, volume, or contract amounts. • The Contractor shall provide the equipment, material, and personnel necessary to perform the services. • The Contractor shall provide up to three 4,000-gallon transport vehicles per order. • The transport vehicles must be outfitted with both four-inch and six-inch hoses. • The work will be performed at various locations around Norfolk, Virginia. • The work hours may extend beyond normal business hours and may endure up to twenty-four continuous hours or more. • The Contractor shall be responsible for all traffic control associated with the work. • The Contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
