The California Army National Guard (CAARNG) J3 requires a tactical, Group 1 or Group 2 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) to serve as an airborne network relay node within an active Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET). The primary objective of this requirement is to establish, maintain, and extend robust tactical network connectivity using Silvus Streamcaster MIMO technology, while simultaneously executing high-resolution electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) aerial surveillance. The UAS must include an active, gyro-stabilized (minimum 2-axis) gimbal payload integrating both electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) cameras, allowing simultaneous or switchable video feeds.
* UAS with Tactical MANET Node Capability
* Dual-Sensor Stabilized Gimbal
* Daytime Electro-Optical (EO) Camera with high-resolution imagery
* Infrared (IR) Thermal Core for night operations
* Ground Control System (GCS) with tactical C2 interface and software interoperability
