Fann-HVAC Replacement

The State of Alabama is seeking a contractor to replace the kitchen HVAC system at the Floyd E. “Tutt” Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville. The work includes removal of the existing 7.5‑ton Trane water‑source heat pump, installation of a new 8‑ton Climate Master R‑454b water‑source heat pump, associated duct, electrical, controls, and water‑line modifications, and full startup and verification of the system. All labor, materials, disposal, and required fabricated transitions are included in the scope. • Remove and dispose of existing HVAC unit and related ductwork. • Install new 8‑ton water‑source heat pump with fabricated transitions, auxiliary drain pan, and safety switch. • Modify and reconnect electrical, low‑voltage controls, and water supply/return lines. • Perform system startup, testing, and verification of proper operation. • All work must be completed before the bid closing date, with a mandatory site visit on April 21, 2026.
