Description
The Florida Department of Elder Affairs is seeking bids for hotel accommodations and meeting space for an event scheduled for April 13-15 and April 20-23, 2026. The successful bidder will be required to provide rooms, meeting space, and catering services for approximately 200 attendees. The bidder must have a minimum of a 4-star rating on TripAdvisor and be located in Lakeland, Daytona, or St. Augustine, Florida. The bidder will be responsible for providing a secure storage room for the Department's equipment and materials, as well as an event registration area. Key requirements include:
• Providing non-smoking and clean rooms with functioning heat/air conditioning, plumbing, and television
• Accommodating room reservation totals and dates specified by the Department
• Allowing cancellations free of charge up to 24 hours prior to check-in date
• Providing a safe and well-lit parking lot for all training attendees
• Including parking and resort fees in the nightly room rate
• Providing a secure storage room for the Department's equipment and materials
• Providing an event registration area for distribution of materials to attendees
• Providing State Council Meeting space on Monday from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm
• Providing Meet and Greet event space on Monday from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm
• Providing breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday
