Request for Proposals for Structural Repairs and Water Management Improvements for the LRSM

The Town of Hopedale is seeking proposals for structural repairs and water management improvements to the Little Red Shop Museum. The museum is a historic, one-story, wood-framed building that dates back to 1845. The proposed work includes repairs to the post and beam framing, floor framing, foundation, and water management systems. The successful bidder will be responsible for completing the work in accordance with the town's requirements and specifications. Some key aspects of the project include: • Repairing deteriorated rafters and tenons in the post and beam framing • Replacing inadequate posts and repairing split joists in the floor framing • Repointing and repairing the foundation, including undermined pilasters and deficient columns • Improving water management systems to reduce water infiltration into the crawlspace • Ensuring that all work is done in a manner that preserves the historic integrity of the building.
