The Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CLE VAMC) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Hill-Rom/Baxter, for the acquisition of the Progressa+ surface, a proprietary, integrated ICU support surface engineered specifically for critical-care beds. The surface is designed to prevent pressure injuries, provide in-bed pulmonary therapy, and enable early patient mobility. The procurement is expected to be a small business set-aside.
Some key features of the Progressa+ surface include:
• Advanced Microclimate management
• StayInPlace frame-and-surface synchronization
• Integrated powered-air therapy surfaces with Continuous Lateral Rotation (CLRT) plus Percussion & Vibration (P&V) capabilities
• Configurable surface families (Essential / Advance / Accelerate)
The CLE VAMC requires a fully manufactured, ready-to-install Progressa+ surface compatible with the CLE VAMC Progressa bed platform, sourced through Baxter (Hill-Rom) or Baxter-authorized distributors.
