Debt Collection Services for Professional Ambulance Billing

The City of Watervliet is seeking a qualified firm to provide debt collection services for past due accounts owed to the city for Professional Ambulance Services. The successful Offeror will be awarded a two-year non-exclusive contract with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms. The scope of work includes collecting on referred accounts, providing written notices, making telephone contact, and skiptracing. The Offeror must also provide an electronic management information system to the city for monitoring and reporting on account activity. • The City of Watervliet is seeking a firm with experience in debt collection services, particularly in the public sector. • The successful Offeror will be required to provide a detailed debt recovery plan, including a description of the processes and methodologies to be used. • The Offeror must comply with all applicable federal and state laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to negotiate the terms of the contract with the successful Offeror. • The contract will be for a term of two years, with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms.
